No. Beginners are welcome, and so are learners who have already used apps, books, or tutors but still feel stuck speaking. The goal is to meet you where you are and give you a clearer path forward.
Lessons are 30 minutes. The Starter Sprint also includes a 15-minute intake call after payment, and the 15-Lesson Momentum Pack includes one strategy call with a coach.
A tutor can be powerful, but random lessons can leave you guessing. Language Monk connects teachers, conversation practice, correction, notes, practice steps, music-based immersion, and tracked progress inside one roadmap.
Music makes Spanish memorable, emotional, and repeatable. Language Monk uses songs and lyrics as an entry point, then connects them to vocabulary, listening, pronunciation, grammar patterns, and speaking practice.
You can start with the $30 Starter Sprint, buy one $20 Single Lesson, or choose a 5 or 15-Lesson Pack. The Starter Sprint includes an intake call, and the 15-Lesson Pack includes a strategy call with a coach.
Language Monk offers a full refund within 48 hours of purchase if no lesson has been completed. After 48 hours, purchases are final because teacher time, scheduling, onboarding, materials, and lesson windows are reserved. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice and no-shows may count as used unless the teacher approves a reschedule. Emergency situations may be reviewed case by case.
All lessons are valid for 1 year (365 days) from the date of purchase. Unused lessons may expire after one year unless Language Monk caused the delay or confirms an extension in writing.
Apps measure activity — streaks, points, minutes. We train speaking. Every lesson is live with a real teacher who corrects you, takes notes, and builds the next lesson on the last one. The music keeps vocabulary alive between lessons. Apps are a fine supplement; they just aren’t designed to get you talking under pressure.
A small, hand-picked team — not a marketplace. The founder personally interviews every teacher for fluent, clear Spanish, a patient and encouraging style, and reliable availability. And if your teacher isn’t the right fit, we’ll switch you to another one free — no awkward conversation needed, just tell your coach.
Two emails arrive right away: your receipt and your account link. Set your password (about 2 minutes), then pick your 15-minute intake-call time right in the app. On the call we confirm your level and goals and match your teacher. Then you book your lessons at times that fit your week. Most students are fully set up within 48 hours.
You book lessons yourself in the app against your teacher’s real availability — no back-and-forth emails. You get reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before each lesson. Need to move one? Cancel or reschedule in the app more than 24 hours ahead and the credit returns to your account instantly.
No. There is no subscription and nothing auto-renews. You buy a pack when you want one, the credits are yours for a full year, and you’re never billed again unless you choose to buy more.
Starter Sprint, Single Lesson, and 5 and 15-Lesson Packs are one-time purchases. Each purchase has its own defined lesson window.
